DSABC along with 19 other local non-profit organizations attended the Foundation Grant Awards Reception on October 30th hosted by Union Savings Bank. The reception celebrated the wonderful ways in which these organizations impact the lives of our neighbors as well as the generosity of the Union Savings Bank Foundation. A total of $200,000 was awarded to 20 recipients focusing on educational programs that meet the needs of the communities we serve. DSABC received a grant from the Union Savings Bank Foundation to support the School-Based Mentoring Programs.
Danbury Student and Business Connection (DSABC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, founded in 1990, that fosters collaboration among Danbury Public Schools, local businesses and the community to promote lifelong learning and the successful transition of youth into society and the workforce. The mission of DSABC is to build the character and confidence of Danbury Students to achieve personal and academic success through business and community partnership.
DSABC’s primary programs are the school-based mentoring programs, providing approximately 200 mentors to students in the Danbury Public Schools as well as Henry Abbott Regional Technical School. Mentors are primarily comprised of volunteers from area corporations/businesses and the community at large.
