DSABC joined representatives from numerous non-profit agencies at a reception on March 7th hosted by Savings Bank of Danbury. The reception celebrated the great work being done in our community as well as the generosity of the Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation, which awarded a total of $190,075 to 73 different non-profit agencies throughout Connecticut. DSABC received a grant from the Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation to support the DSABC Mentoring Programs.
Danbury Student and Business Connection (DSABC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, founded in 1990, that fosters collaboration among Danbury Public Schools, local businesses and the community to promote lifelong learning and the successful transition of youth into society and the workforce. The mission of DSABC is to build the character and confidence of Danbury Students to achieve personal and academic success through business and community partnership.
DSABC’s primary programs are the school-based mentoring programs, providing approximately 200 mentors to students in the Danbury Public Schools as well as Henry Abbott Regional Technical School. Mentors are primarily comprised of volunteers from area corporations/businesses and the community at large.
