DANBURY, CT (January 2, 2025) – This January, the Danbury Student and Business Connection (DSABC) invites you to celebrate National Mentoring Month by recognizing the power of mentorship and the transformative impact it has on students’ lives. As a cornerstone of Danbury Public Schools, DSABC, a nonprofit organization, connects students with mentors who meet weekly to provide guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. These relationships help build the confidence and skills students need to thrive academically and personally.
Mentorship is about more than simply showing up; it’s about showing students they matter. One DSABC mentor put it best: “For what mentoring requires, you get so much more in return.” Comments like these demonstrate how mentorship can create ripples of positive change that last a lifetime.
“Mentoring is at the heart of what we do at DSABC, and it’s incredible to see the lasting impact these relationships have on our students and mentors alike,” said Alexis Koukos, Executive Director of DSABC. “National Mentoring Month is a time to celebrate these connections and encourage others to join us in creating brighter futures for Danbury’s youth.”
